STATEMENT ON THE TRAGIC DEATH OF
HON. PETER ERIC JAMES ‘JIM’ PRENTICE, PC, QC

October 14, 2016 – CALGARY  – Calgary Confederation Member of Parliament Len Webber issued the following statement today following the death of his friend and former colleague.

“Jim was an honourable man who served our riding with both dedication and conviction.  I got to know him and his wife Karen well and this news comes as a complete shock to me and our community.  It will take some time for this news to really sink in.  I just can’t believe Jim is gone.

His service to Canada, and especially his community, will be remembered fondly.  He was a passionate defender of our community and made us very proud.

Albertans need to know that he was a staunch supporter of the Alberta Organ Donor Registry and helped make it a reality.  I think that should definitely be remembered as part of his legacy.

Our thoughts are for his family and also for the families of those who perished with Jim.”
