The process for obtaining and renewing passports for those under the age of 16 years is different from that used for adult passports.

These passports are only available for five year, unlike the adult passport which is available for 10 year renewals.

Passports for minors are not available for renewals.  Instead, each ‘renewal’ is treated as a new application.
